Both markets will deliver brunch in bed and dinner to your door. If you’re planning a romantic outdoor picnic near the lake,that can be arranged as well. And If you’re feeling like making it a coffee and mimosa morning– Town delivers award winning Kohana Coffee, orange juice and champagne. And wine. And beer. If you do decide to leave the comfort of your bed, Cissi’s is preparing an in house prix f ixe brunch and a prix fixe dinner of salad of baby spinach, goat cheese,candied almond and oven roasted strawberries with lemon vinaigrette, grilled baby lamb chops and seared sea bass and warm bittersweet chocolate cake with housemade vanilla ice-cream, warm toffee sauce, toffee bits, and berry coulis in house. The funds supported the efforts of Mama Lucy Kamptoni, a Tanzanian who raised money selling chickens to build a school on rented land near her home. When developers came in and took the land she was using, Epic Change stepped in to rebuild and expand the school that now serves over 300 children. The primary goal of the school is to ensure that all children in the Kimandolu area are provided access to a high quality education.Funds raised from this year’s event will allow the Shepherd’s Junior primary school to build more classrooms, a library, a cafeteria, and an orphanage/dormitory. The 2008 Tweetsgiving event raised enough money to build a cassroom at Kamptoni’s school. In this classroom built from gratitude, the Twitter handles of donors are now painted on the walls. The organizers of this year’s events are hoping to raise at least $100,000 world-wide to continue this expansion.

Michael was the man that helped put MTV on the map with introducing music videos such as “Beat It”, “Billie Jean” and Thriller that transformed the music video from a promo tool into an art form. He had a knack for an ever evolving performance and fashion style, pioneered moves such as the moon walk that kids learn today in their basic hip hop dance classes, and he bridged the divide between rock and soul. He was one of those rare people who was able to influence people of all genders, ages and races. He co-penned (with Lionel Richie) the chart popping U.S.A. for Africa (United Support of Artists for Africa) song "We are the world" and in the live music capital of the world, where a mayor lead us in a record breaking Thriller Dancing Die-hard dance off, it would be a shame if we didn't pay homage to the King of Pop.
