Michael was the man that helped put MTV on the map with introducing music videos such as “Beat It”, “Billie Jean” and Thriller that transformed the music video from a promo tool into an art form. He had a knack for an ever evolving performance and fashion style, pioneered moves such as the moon walk that kids learn today in their basic hip hop dance classes, and he bridged the divide between rock and soul. He was one of those rare people who was able to influence people of all genders, ages and races. He co-penned (with Lionel Richie) the chart popping U.S.A. for Africa (United Support of Artists for Africa) song "We are the world" and in the live music capital of the world, where a mayor lead us in a record breaking Thriller Dancing Die-hard dance off, it would be a shame if we didn't pay homage to the King of Pop.
